Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration  of Hamis Batar local wisdom  in thematic learning in elementary schools as an innovative effort in strengthening students' character and cultural identity. Hamis Batar is a ritual of gratitude for the corn harvest of the ethnic Tetun community which is full of theological, sociological, and ecological values. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study and literature study approach. Data was collected through field observations, interviews with traditional leaders, and curriculum studies. The results of the study show that the integration  of Hamis Batar can be implemented through the development of teaching modules based on local wisdom that connect the concepts of science, social studies, Indonesian language, and Cultural Arts holistically. These findings confirm that the use of local contexts not only increases learning motivation and understanding of the material contextually, but is also effective in instilling the values of the Pancasila Student Profile, especially the dimensions of faith, mutual cooperation, and global diversity. This study recommends the need for collaboration between schools, parents, and traditional stakeholders in developing relevant learning tools to preserve cultural heritage while achieving academic goals.
